On a recent trip to the far northeast of Cambodia, Mondulkiri Province, the Cambodian Space Project
jammed with the Bunong people, a hilltribe aka “the elephant people”, who have traditionally been living
with domesticized elephants for centuries and cherish their own culture, language and music.
In this clip you can see an exotic self-made guitar that is played with both hands and has 6 strings
on each side. In order to guarantee a great sound old tins were used as resonance bodies.
A real space guitar! And a real great musician: Blind Neil.
